Notes on Handicap Tournaments

Mark Venz had an outstanding performance. In 2000 through 2002, Mark's low round in MDGA tourneys was 90. His average in this tournament was 83. Patrick Arnold was the handicap runner-up. He also had an outstanding performance. His previous best score in MDGA was 85. He averaged 79 in this tournament. Dick Chadwick was right there, but hurt his back and had to withdraw from the tournament on the final day.

Other than those three golfers, it was a very fair handicap competition for both regular and senior golfers. 9 (31%) senior golfers and 22 (33%) regular golfers shot even-par 213 or better.
